End of Academic Term Report

1. Overview
The academic term ending in December 2024 has been a productive and enriching period for both students and staff. The school has successfully completed its planned activities, including academic programs, extracurricular engagements, and key community events, such as the much-anticipated “Carols Day” which was hosted on 19th December, 2024.
Our goal of fostering holistic development and providing quality education in a nurturing environment continues to be our guiding principle.
Next Term begins on 8th January, 2025.
2. Academic Performance
Achievements:
- Student Success: 90% of students achieved a satisfactory or higher grade in end-of-term assessments, showing a marked improvement compared to the previous term.
- Teacher Training: Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions were organized, focusing on modern Montessori teaching techniques and inclusive education practices.
- Curriculum Updates: New Montessori tools were integrated into the classrooms, enhancing interactive learning.
Challenges:
- More focus is required on individual coaching for struggling students.
3. Extracurricular Activities
- Art and Culture: The term ended with a vibrant Carols Day event, showcasing student talent in drama, dance, and music.
- Clubs: The Creative Arts Club launched a mural project, brightening the school compound with vibrant student artwork.
4. Infrastructure and Facilities
Improvements:
- A new playground structure was installed, significantly enhancing outdoor activity options for students.
- Repairs were made to classroom facilities, ensuring a safer and more comfortable environment for learning.
5. Staff Updates
- Training: Staff attended workshops on early childhood education and Montessori teaching strategies.
6. Recommendations for the Next Term
- Next Term begins on 8th January, 2025.
- Focus on improving science and technology teaching materials.
- Continue fostering parent engagement through regular PTA meetings.
- Plan more school activities to enhance student exposure.
- Begin preparations for the mid-year academic review.
