What is Food Bazaar Friday?
Food Bazaar Friday is a tradition at Lovely Arms Montessori School, designed to bring together students, teachers, and the local community in a celebration of culinary diversity. The event features a colorful array of food stalls, each showcasing different cuisines from around the world, all prepared with love and care by our school families and staff.
Whether you’re a fan of savory snacks, sweet treats, or curious about trying new dishes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our little learners, guided by their teachers, will also be participating in the event, giving them the opportunity to explore the cultural significance of food in a hands-on and interactive way.
A Fun Learning Experience for Kids
Food Bazaar Friday isn’t just about eating—it’s an educational experience for our young learners. Leading up to the event, our students will be engaged in a series of lessons about the importance of healthy eating, the history of different dishes, and the connection between food and culture. They will also participate in a mini cooking session, where they’ll prepare simple snacks to share at the bazaar. This hands-on approach allows them to connect with the food they eat and gain a greater appreciation for the world’s diverse culinary traditions.
As part of their Montessori curriculum, students will also have the chance to develop life skills like teamwork, responsibility, and practical math (counting change, measuring ingredients, and so on) as they help set up the event or assist with selling the food.
